KU joins competitive OpenStax Institutional Partner Program

Wednesday, June 21, 2017

The Shulenburger Office of Scholarly Communication & Copyright is excited to announce KU's acceptance to the OpenStax Institutional Partner Program. 11 schools were selected through a competitive process that considered number of students potentially impacted and institutional readiness to advance the use of open textbooks and other open educational resources (OER). The application was developed and submitted by the Shulenburger Office with support from Provost & Execute Vice Chancellor Neeli Bendapudi, Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs Stuart Day, and Dean of Libraries Kevin Smith, reflecting the substantial growth of our Open Education Initiative in the 2016/2017 academic year and expanding commitment by KU to support student success and innovative pedagogy.
