KU Libraries sign Lyon Declaration on Access to Information and Development
The University of Kansas Libraries have signed the Lyon Declaration on Access to Information and Development. This international declaration promoting open access ties the increase in access to information to sustainable development projects globally. Drafted by the International Federation of Library Associations, the declaration is intended to inform the United Nations' development agenda for 2016-2030 and "make an international commitment to use the post-2015 development agenda to ensure that everyone has access to, and is able to understand, use and share the information that is necessary to promote sustainable development and democratic societies."
