Library resources for NIH compliance

Monday, June 3, 2013

KU Libraries have published a new guide to library resources that can help those researchers who are submitting articles to PubMed Central in compliance with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) mandate that the results of research funded by NIH be shared publicly.   The Library Resources for NIH Compliance guide contains a definition of terms used by NIH and links to the relevant parts of the NIH website.   The guide also has links to the SHERPA/RoMEO database that can help researchers find journal and publisher information, including contact information and help in finding the online versions of articles through the KU Libraries' web site.

Many articles that are going to be made available in PubMed Central can also be made available in KU ScholarWorks, KU's institutional repository.   Please contact us at kuscholarworks@ku.edu if you are interested in increasing the visibility of your research through KU ScholarWorks.
