Washington Post: "How one publisher is stopping academics from sharing their research"

The Washington Post reports that publishing giant Elsevier has sent notices to authors requiring that they remove the published version of articles published in Elsevier journals from their own web sites and from academia.edu, a site that allows researchers to post their research for open sharing with other academics.
